Spring Break, Day 4

Spring Break is for

Wearing green for St. Patrick's Day.

Homemade smocks from Daddy's old shirts.

Painting in the backyard!

Being an artist.

Creativity at work.

Making a masterpiece.

Messy hands.

Closing your eyes for a surprise.

MK's masterpiece! ("Ta Da!")

Kaden's Masterpiece!
(Just a note about Kaden's picture. It's the sky with a sun, mars, and other planets and suns in outerspace. Two trees on the left side that are stuck together. A House is in the upper right corner. A green water slide coming down into a river that lies on top of the grass. All of the blue is a big wave that has washed up and "killed the people and made them lost things." The people in the house are going to save all of the people who got hurt by the wave. The people that live in the house are Kaden, Mary-Kate, Mommy, Daddy, Granddad, Ya Ya, Uncle Jeff, Evan, Finley, Kristie, and Matt.)

Chasing bubbles.

Popping them.

Satisfaction in the little things in life.

Bubbles whipping around in the wind.

A crinkled nose with the effort of swiping a bubble.

Green finger and toenails for St. Patty's Day!

The first swim of the season.

Toys we haven't seen in a long time.

Those priceless giggles!

A priceless shot.

an unhappy sister when her brother picks on her.

Water splashed in the face.

Opening your mouth at the wrong time. (This was not on purpose.) :)

Shivers and pool tiaras.

Green cookies for the special day.

Drying off and warming up in the sunshine.

Realizing the first swim is freezing!

Shivers

Being worn out!

An art walk.

Enjoying Texas Art.

Watching a windmill spin.

Enjoying a West Texas Skyline.

A granddad sharing the love of his city with his grandchildren.

Lots of green!

Scaring birds off balconies. (Bottom right)

Drinking green lemonade.

Enjoying art.

Taking in the whole experience.

Spring break is also for
sleeping in,
long showers and no reason to dress up,
bacon for breakfast,
special gifts from Ya Ya
lots of playtime between brother and sister,
children cleaning up their toys,
and sunsets that look like rainbows.
