Welcome to NeverLand!

What a fun and crazy day we have had! Today was the kid's birthday party and we had a Pirates and Fairies, NeverLand Party! What a blast! But why take my word for it, when you can see for yourself? :)

Captain Kade and Fairy Princess Mary-Kate, ready for their party.

Our treasure map cake

My friend and I worked really hard on it the night before!

In NeverLand we had:
The Indian Camp

Peter's Flying School

Mermaid Lagoon and Pixie Hollow

Pirate's Cove (near Crocodile Creek) complete with two pirate ships.

There was also The Lost Boy's Hideout complete with slide and roller coaster.

Friends began to arrive and play time began!

After a little play time it was snack time.

It was finally a very nice day. The past two years have been freak cold and rainy May days.

Pirates and Fairies everywhere!

We had to follow the snack with cake. We prepared the birthday girl and boy for everyone to

sing happy birthday,

they blew out the candles,

and we all ate lots of yummy cake and cupcakes.

Or licked some icing off!

After some cake, we had enough energy to go on a treasure hunt! Captain Hook had stolen the treasure, but accidentally left his treasure map behind!

The Treasure Map!

We had to follow the map and do a task at each station to move on to the next.

We found the treasure!!

Lots of booty for pirates and fairies!

Sweet pirate fairy Finley

I believe these pirates were slaying the infamous crocodile!

And a true cowboy rides his horse with a pirate sword!

Lastly it was time to open presents.

We are so blessed and thankful for all of our friends and family!

Y'all helped make this a very special day. Thanks!!

When the party was over, many goodbyes were said and everyone went on their way! Thought this was just hilarious!

After the party, we had a little bit of down time before we headed to Kaden's soccer game. Uncle Jeff has been trying to see him since he started playing last Fall. It was a whopping 100*!!!!!! Wowzers. It was exhausting just sitting there, so I can only imagine how Kaden felt since he was running around out there. Poor thing. Fortunately, when we got home, Uncle Jeff surprised the kids with his birthday present, and it was perfect for cooling off....
Here they are with their first glance at the slip 'n slide!

Excited to try it!

It took awhile, but Kaden finally started getting the hang of what you were supposed to do. Daddy had to give a little demonstration! ;)

MK preferred Daddy to push her!

Daddy looking good!

The kids learned that if they stood at the end, Daddy would splash them!

And then (much to Mommy's nervousness, they learned Daddy was a fun ride!)

But no one ever got hurt...well, Daddy might be a little sore tomorrow! ;)

And everyone has to slide backwards down a slip 'n slide, at least once.

Uncle Jeff scored with a great present once again. Thanks!!!!

We ended the evening with our favorite meal at Ya Ya's house. Gigi and G-Daddy joined us too. It was such an awesome and full day, both kids told us they were tired and ready for bed early. Mary-Kate never made it beyond Daddy's arms. She crashed hard! So sweet! We love birthdays and celebrating big! This weekend has not disappointed! What a joy to be with loved ones and enjoy ourselves so much!! Happy Birthday to the two sweetest kids I know! I love y'all!! I will end with some videos from our special day!
