Happy Birthday Mary-Kate!

What a JOY!!!!! My baby is 3 years old today. So big!! Although these past 3 years have flown by, I have enjoyed them immensely! Mary-Kate brings a lot of excitement to our lives. She is our funny girl, and boy does she have us in stitches most days. She has definitely weaseled her way out of a few things solely based on her funny side. She knows it's hard to punish her when she can have us laughing. Her little dimple just pops when she gives that little smile of hers.

She is also still our daring child! She loves to run, jump, flip, and twirl...whether on flat ground or the top of a high edge. Gymnastics has been such a good outlet for her and I have loved watching her thrive. She seems to have a natural athleticism in the things she does. It's probably a second child thing, but she also seems to be a step ahead of wherever Kaden was at her age.

MK is still as sweet as can be, and is not too old for snuggles, hugs, and kisses. She loves to sit close and just spend time with you. She is girly, she is smart, she loves to talk, she is amazing! Happy Birthday Mary-Kate!! I love you so much and will never stop!

For Mary-Kate's birthday, she had a very special day! Here is the rundown of what all we did.
First, she was excited to wear her new birthday dress I made her with matching bows.

After she went to school for a little bit, I pulled her out early to go get our nails done.

Mary-Kate chose a pretty pink, and Mommy chose a natural color.

Next on the agenda, MK got to pick out a cupcake from "Cakes in a Cup."

She asked Ya Ya to join us for lunch. We ended up at Olive Garden because her first choice (Rosas) was just too crowded for Taco Tuesdays.

Here are the delightful treats we enjoyed after our lunch. (From back left) Snicker Doodle, Red Velvet, (Front Left) Peanut Butter and Jelly, and Vanilla.

MK with her choice of Vanilla.

She definitely approved!

That afternoon we picked brother up from school and enjoyed some time hanging out at the house. Ya Ya took her on a special shopping trip where she got to pick out her very own dress and purse. She really enjoyed that. After Daddy got off of work, it was time to open her presents. One from brother...

which she really loved. It was a doll with her name on the dress.

And then the big gift from Mommy and Daddy was a bicycle!

She loves it!!

We were so impressed with how well she took to it immediately.

Ready to ride some bikes together.

We headed to the park to do some real riding.

The kids loved it!
Check her out in action!

Super fast!

Just impressed with her skills...

After riding some bikes we played for a bit before going to Rosas for her birthday dinner.

We ended the evening with an ice cream cake from Marble Slab. It did melt a little before we got it home. Oops!

MK still approved!

It certainly was a full day for a birthday princess. We do birthdays big in this family, and I love that my kids get to share a birthday week. Next up is Kade's birthday on Friday, and then the party this Saturday. Woo hoo!

What a great birthday for MK. Hope your party is great tomorrow. We haven't planned the boys yet. Had some unpleasant financial news recently and since the boys want a party that costs $300...
