Family Weekend

We had an incredible weekend. My brother and Steve and Debbie got to come up for some Family time! Everyone was in town by Friday night, and of course we had to pig out on dinner, snacks, and dessert! It is always so fun just to hang out and have great conversation. The kids were also enjoying all of the extra attention.

Saturday morning we got up and went to Lake Nasworthy where we took an awesome boat out! The kids had such a great time at Marble Falls, we were hoping it would be just as fun...and it was! We even got this awesome tube (that looked like a shoe) that we got to pull behind the boat. The kids loved it and so did all of us adults. We will definitely do that again! I, of course, took a lot of pictures. You can see them in the slideshow below.

Saturday afternoon we had our annual Fantasy Football Draft Party. Jeff and Bryan could hardly contain themselves. It is one of their favorite days of the year and they look forward to it 364 days a year! Haha! We are in a league called "Recliner Rivalry." I am on Bryan's team and we plan to take the championship this year! ;o) There are 10 teams total, including Jeff, my mom, and Steve. I can't even tell you how excited I am that Fall is almost here and that football season is about to start. Woo hoo!! My favorite time of year is now until January. (I know, that's almost half a year, but it makes me happy!) Saturday night we all went out to dinner (that's where MK had her busted lip) and then hung out some more.

Sunday we all went to church and my Dad surprised my mom with flowers at the front of the church for their 35th wedding anniversary (today)! It was soo funny to see her reaction. She was nice and embarrassed as it flashed up on the screen! Mom, Dad, I cannot say enough how awesome y'all are, and how much y'all mean to me and my family. Congrats on 35 wonderful years, and here is to many more! Thank you for showing us what love and commitment means even in hard times. Y'all are a great example to others and we appreciate you!

Sunday afternoon was full of naps, snacks, and laughter. We always have a great time being together and I am so thankful for those times. We always eat way too much, and stay up way too late. The lack of sleep is worth it though. I will remember these times with my family always as they are some of my favorite memories ever. Unfortunately, Jeff had to go home today but we were so glad he got to stay as long as he did. My kids LOVE him so much and he is a great Uncle!!!

We have looked forward to this weekend for so long and cannot believe it is over. It is with much excitement we look forward to our Fall and all the things that will be happening.
