Kaden's Birthday Celebration!

Kade's special day was a hit! There was much celebrating today, and my 4 year old went to bed very late tonight! Here is how our day went...When I woke him up, he surprised me by saying he wanted to sleep a little longer. Lol! When I told him he had something special to wear and see in the kitchen, he finally got up! We had taken down MK's Mickey Mouse Banner and put up a Thomas the Train one. He also had a new Thomas outfit to wear to school today!

Kaden dressed himself in his new Thomas outfit along with his cape and cowboy hat. Don't you know that that is what birthday boys are supposed to wear?? He was excited to take the chocolate chip cookies that he had picked out to school. The kids got to enjoy them during snack time! I also surprised him by bringing him McDonald's for lunch. He has always asked for us to bring him something special from a restaurant, and we never have until now. His mouth dropped open and then he got a big grin when he saw me. The whole class sang Happy Birthday to him too. It was precious!

After school we hung out and rested (MK napped) at the house while waiting for everyone to get off work. When Daddy got home we played outside until it was time for him to go get his birthday dinner, Rosa's!! Once again we had a nice family dinner and then cake! Kade chose the fudge marble cake with buttercream icing. It was all yummy! After dinner we opened presents and played. Uncle Jeff showed up shortly after that and we all hung out until late!

It is so good to have the whole family here! Jeff will be here until Monday. We feel spoiled. The kids were so thrilled to see him and were full of energy! We still have the birthday party this weekend and Mother's Day celebrations too! So thankful for all of our blessings and all of this special time we have together!

Kade's Thomas Banner.

Excited to see me at school.

His class sang Happy Birthday to him. I blurred their faces so you can't see the kid's faces.

So excited!

Checking the mail.

So excited to get a card from someone!

Thank you Steve and Debbie. Love y'all!!

We are so thankful for y'all in our lives!

MK opened her gift from them too.

Trying to teach MK how to pedal her trike.

Playing hard!

Silly boy!

Crazy girl!

Little Racer!

About to enjoy dinner!

Time for cake!

Mmmmm....

I thought it was weird I was about to eat an eye.

She had beans and cake all over her face.

Riding a horsie!

Time for presents.

Tennis racquet and balls.

Bryan was asking him if he could have his blanket. Ha!

MK had trouble understanding the presents weren't for her, so Granddad held her and gave her some extra loving!

So excited about the gift Steve and Debbie gave him!

Also thrilled about his new camera.

Had to take pictures of everyone.

:)

Trying out his new racquet. He did this cute spinny thing after each hit.

Hitting balls.

If you look closely you can see Lightning McQueen in action jumping over the train!

Playing with Uncle Jeff.

Giving sweet hugs!

Trying out the new see-saw.

She wasn't sure at first, but she loved it after a minute!

Having lots of fun!
