Showdown in San Angelo

We went to the Showdown in San Angelo today, which is the name of the Drag Boat Races that took place here at our lake. If you have never seen drag boat races, you are missing a pretty cool thing. We took Kade last year and he enjoyed it, and seeing that my Dad is in charge of a lot of it, we decided to take the kids again this year. It's worth the free tickets that we get! Lol! It's really neat to watch the boats. The top fuel boats can go up to speeds of 250 mph and they are LOOOOOUUDDD!!! The sound of it can make your whole body vibrate. I was nervous about how Mary-Kate would handle it, but we would plug up her ears when the boats drove by with her burp rag and press her to our bodies. She did great. Never cried once, and even slept through part of it. There was only one time that she threw out the pouty lip and that was because she didn't like her head being held still. Kaden had a blast too. He kept saying "again, again, again!" He wasn't scared either. He loved to watch them, and then when they were all done he would plug his ears and say it was loud. Hehe, just a little late Kade! I was very thankful for the rain and cloud cover we had. Although the mud was a mess to walk through, the cooler temperatures were very nice. I made a real short slide show of our day.

I put MK in a Onesie with a boat on it, and Kade in a shirt with racers on it! Thought it kind of fit the theme! :o)

That's so cool. I pretty much grew up on Lake Nasworthy. My grandparents had a house right on the lake. Very cute pics. :D Love how you dressed the kids to fit the theme.
