Today was a very special day for us. We had Mary-Kate's baby dedication this morning. For those who don't know what that is, it is a ceremony we have during our church service where we commit to raise our child in a godly home. We promise to diligently pray for them and raise them according to the principles laid forth in God's worth. We are not baptizing them, but committing to teach them and pray for the day that they can make a decision of their own to follow God. We dedicated Kade when he was 5 months old, and today was Mary-Kate's special day. After promising to raise MK in a godly home, the pastor challenged our church to love and support us as well as teach our children while in the doors of the church. They gave us a little Bible to give to MK, a beautiful blanket that some sweet ladies made for us, and a certificate. Kade was a good boy and stole the show as he directed the choir and talked about the music being all done. MK was also flashing her precious smile and cooing to the front row. We were surrounded by friends and loved ones as my parents, my grandparents, Steve and Debbie, Nana (Bryan's mom), Ashley and Michael, and Amber were there to support us. God has greatly blessed us with our children, and I am glad to dedicate them to Him. I couldn't do my job without Him!!!
It has been an incredible weekend with our friends and family! Our good friends Steve and Debbie Alexander came into town to visit and we were so excited. They are such a blessing in our life and mean the world to us. We love that our children are growing up knowing them too. We have had a wonderful weekend of food, laughter, conversation, and games! I have put some pictures together in a little photo book that I would like to share. I also have a few extra pics from our weekend to share.
I finally got a great picture of the kids. Both of them looking and smiling!!

MK and Nana

MK received some gifts from our family for her dedication. My mom and Dad gave her a beautiful necklace. Steve and Debbie gave her a pearl bracelet. And my Dad's Cousin, Martha Ann, gave Mary-Kate a Christening bonnet that later turns into a handkerchief for her wedding day. These were all very special gifts and we appreciate them very much. We are so thankful that so many people love our children.

So sweet! Love her shoes! She looks a lot like Nana in that one pic of them together. God will truly bless your family for dedicating to serve Him and teaching your children to serve Him as well. We dedicated both of our kids and it's a constant reminder to stay focused on teaching them to be godly people.
Her smile was so precious during the dedication!
